Improv is a load of fun, and anyone can do it! Great for building confidence, wellbeing and for being an outlet for play + creativity. We create safe and supportive enviroments in our classes, and they're run by experienced improv coaches.
The brilliant Heather and Joe from the acclaimed Maydays will be with us again!
If you have always fancied trying musical improv but feel slightly apprehensive, then this workshop will be the one to get you started. By introducing you to warmup games, song structures, rhyming exercises and genres, it will help you unlock your inner 'Funny Girl' or 'Greatest Showman'. No experience necessary.
And even if you've had some previous experience there will definitely be something here for you to learn or polish up on.
What can I expect?
Who is this workshop suitable for?
We are delighted to offer all our courses in partnership with the wonderful Slow Theatre Company
Improv is a form of performance - often comedic, but also dramatic, where everything is made up on the spot. There are no scripts, just collaboration techniques and tools that allow us to build worlds from nothing at all. People often know improv from the TV show "Whose line is anyway?" - but this is just the tip of the iceberg! The possibilties are endless and anyone can do it.
