Introduction to Long Form Improv
At Room D17A, City College, Ipswich Road, Norwich
Monday evenings from 8th May to 26th June 2017 - 7:30-9:30pm
Improv is a load of fun, and anyone can do it! Great for building confidence, wellbeing and for being an outlet for play + creativity. We create safe and supportive enviroments in our classes, and they're run by experienced improv coaches.
Long form is unscripted theatre, where performers live in the moment making up unscripted theatre on the spot. Long form is often, but not always comedic + takes away the game structures of short form to let the characters and relationships play the leading role
In this eight week course you’ll have a solid introduction to the fundamental principles and formats of long form improvisation, with an (optional) friends and family performance at the end of the course. Long form improv is creative, powerful and a lot of fun and can be great to learn whether you want to work towards performing or simply want to build confidence or meet new people and have fun.
Your coach will be Chris Read - a supportive and passionate improviser with many years experience both performing and coaching improv.
We are delighted to offer all our courses in partnership with the wonderful Slow Theatre Company
