Improv Comedy for Beginners - Norwich
At City College, Ipswich Road, Norwich
Wednesday evenings from 4th April to 23rd May 2018 - 7:30-9:30pm
Improv is a load of fun, and anyone can do it! Great for building confidence, wellbeing and for being an outlet for play + creativity. We create safe and supportive enviroments in our classes, and they're run by experienced improv coaches.
This course will start you off gently into the wonderful world of improv comedy. During the course, you will learn the fundamentals of improv. We will learn through exercises and play “Whose line is it anyway?” style games, building to a friends and family show at the end of the run (this is optional, but most find they want to do it by the end).
This is a great course to dip your toe into the improv waters - whether you have a desire to perform, want to build confidence in your work or social life or simply want to meet some new people and have fun.
This course is suitable people with no previous improv experience, or those who've not done any for a while and want to jump back in.
Your coach will be Chris Read - a supportive coach and improv performer of 8 years. Chris trained in Brighton with the acclaimed Maydays, has performed in Brighton, London, Norwich and taken improv shows to the Edinburgh fringe.
We are delighted to offer all our courses in partnership with the wonderful Slow Theatre Company
